People traveling from many countries, are not
required to have Visitors Visas to come to New Zealand. For
the counties that have this requirement, the traveller needs
to apply for an entry visa, which is called a Visitors Visa.
The Visitors Permit will be stamped into the passport on
arrival at the airport. On arrival to New Zealand, the person
can apply to extend their stay which is usually 9 months out
of any 18 months is the maximum stay for tourists.
Requirements:
An outbound ticket at the end of the nine
months stay
AND
sufficient funds for the visitor to support
themselves during their stay OR a New Zealander are eligible
to sponsor the visitor, (this means taking full responsibility
for you).
