Eligible

Must hold registration and a license to work as a nurse in your native country
Passed in written exam of CGFNS
Got appropriate bands in IELTS academic (6.5 overall & 7 bands in speaking)
CGFNS
The Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) in the USA conducts this test. This test is a part of the CGFNS certification program. This program is meant for general nurses who are educated and / or licensed in countries other than the USA.
The CGFNS program entails :
Credentials review of your education, registration and license.
A one-day qualifying CGFNS exam that aims to test your nursing knowledge.
Attaining a minimum prescribed score in IELTS or Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
About the CGFNS exam
The CGFNS qualifying exam is conducted 4 times per year in more than 40 exam centers in different countries. The aim of this exam is to find out whether you have the same level of knowledge and understanding of various nursing aspects that an American educated nurse has. The questions will be on the clinical area of nursing including but not limited to: Adult Care – Medical/Surgical, Pediatrics, Maternity/Midwifery, Psychiatric/Mental Health, and Community.
MENTOR offer special training programs to help prepare applicants to successfully pass the CGFNS exams. Generally you will obtain your results for the qualifying exam will be sent to you 8-10 weeks after the exam.
The purpose of such evaluation is to ensure that you meet the US government’s minimum eligibility standards to apply for an immigrant visa. All necessary documentation required for the Visa Screen must be sent to ICHP directly from your educational institutions.
Requirements to pass the Visa Screen include :
Completed senior secondary school education.
Graduated as a nurse or earned a diploma in nursing from a government recognized school.
Completed both theoretical and practical training as a nurse.
All nurses who would like to practice nursing in the USA must hold a nursing license issued by US state. To obtain this license, all nurses need to write the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX examination). This exam is conducted to ensure that it is safe for the US hospitals to employ you as a registered nurse. This exam can only be taken in the USA.
After obtaining all of the necessary documentation, Associates of MENTOR will initiate the sponsorship of your U.S. Permanent Residency Visa; a visa is more commonly referred to as a “Green Card”. When an sponsored nurses obtains a Green Card, and the nurse's spouse and any unmarried children under the age of 21 will automatically be entitled to apply for a Green Card as well. All Green Card holders are legally entitled to work in the U.S., and to remain in the country permanently.
To obtain an immigrant visa, our legal partners will file a petition with the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) of The Department of Justice, the Government of USA. The document used to file this petition is called the I-140.

Copies of educational certificates: School, Intermediate, Nursing Degree / Diploma and mark sheets

CGFNS Certificate / passing score in NCLEX –RN exam

Green Card processing requirements
A Green Card has no expiration or time limit. It allows you to live permanently and work in USA with out any restrictions forever. If you qualify and apply for a Green Card, you and your family can enter USA and start working from day one.
To qualify for a Green Card, as a Nurse you must :
Pass CGFNS or NCLEX
Have a BSc Nursing or Diploma in Nursing
Possess a Current and Valid RN License in your country
Passed TOEFL and TSE or IELTS.
Have a Visa Screen Certificate when appearing for a Visa Interview
Once you arrive in the USA, we will arrange for you NCLEX - RN exam. We help you prepare for the exam before your arrival, and provide additional training after you arrive.
