needing to recruit staff from overseas on a temporary
basis.

Business visa if you :
Have been sponsored to work
in Australia or will be working under a labour
agreement, including
Applicants who
will be working in an Australian tertiary institution,
research institution, or an Australian school or
technical college
Applicants who will be
employed as a player or coach with a sporting team or
organization in Australia
Correspondents and other
professional media staff members posted to Australia by
overseas news organizations
Will be working in Australia
on the basis of a transfer within your company
Will be working in Australia
under an Invest Australia Supported Skills (IASS)
agreement
Will be a representative of a
supplier of services located outside Australia
Are a person recommended for
entry by the Australian Minister for Foreign
Affairs
A Long Stay Business visa provides
for a stay in Australia for a maximum period of four years.
For business people wishing to visit Australia for a period of
up to three months a Short Stay Business Visitor visa is
available.
Health
requirements
All applicants for a visa to
Australia must meet health requirements. This can be done in a
variety of ways depending on the type of visa applied for and
the intended duration of stay. Generally applicants intending
to remain in Australia for over 3 months will be required to
have a chest x-ray. Applicants intending to remain for over 12
months are also usually required to undergo a medical
examination.
Interviews
Although a personal
interview is not generally required, it may be required in
some cases and you will be advised if and when to attend for
interview.
