If you have a relative who can sponsor you and is one of the following :


	An Australian citizen
	An Australian permanent resident
	An eligible New Zealand Citizen.

Your relative/sponsor must be one of the following :

Your eligible relative lives, and has lived, in one of the following designated areas in the 12 months before you lodge your application :

	ACT
	South Australia
	Northern Territory
	Tasmania
	Victoria
	Queensland – except Brisbane and the Gold Coast
	New South Wales – except Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong
	Western Australia – except Perth

Visa options available for skilled migrants for Australia are :

	Skilled Independent
	Skilled - Australian Sponsored
	Skilled - Designated Area Sponsored
	Skilled Independent Regional (SIR)
	Skilled Independent - State/Territory Nominated (STNI)

To be able to migrate under this category :

	You must be below 45 years of age
	Have good English (need to take the IELTS test)
	Your occupation must be in the 'Skilled Occupation List' and successfully assessed by a skill assessment body
	You should have recent work experience
